The Moscow authorities will allocate 25 billion rubles from the city budget for the new headquarters of the National Space Center Roscosmos. The skyscraper will appear on the territory of the Khrunichev State Space Research and Production Center in Fili.
Roscosmos will not spend anything on the creation of the center. Our funds will be spent on arranging enterprises, collecting all the necessary production cycles and stages, said the head of Roskosmos, Dmitry Rogozin. Moscow will allocate all the money, which will receive an area of 88, 9 hectares in Fili in exchange.
Earlier it became known that the National Space Center will occupy 9.9 hectares, the territory of the Khrunichev State Space Research and Production Center will be adjacent to it. An area of 2.1 hectares will house an educational complex. In addition, according to the program of renovation of the Moscow government, nearby residential houses where the workers of the Khrunichev Center live will be also involved. Full completion is scheduled for 2024.
Dmitry Rogozin spoke about the options for a new skyscraper at the presentation of the integrated plan for the creation of the National Space Center (NSC) and the development of the Moscow site of the Khrunichev Center. A favorite is a project resembling a super heavy class launch vehicle.
