Iceland topped the ranking of countries with the cleanest air. The results of the joint study were published by Greenpeace and the company AirVisual on March 12, 2019.
It is noted that in the territory of the European Union the first place was taken by Finland. The top five also includes Estonia, Sweden and Australia.
In general, experts examined the state of the air in 73 states. First of all, experts estimated the average number of dust microparticles – this type of pollution is considered one of the most dangerous for humans.
Russia has entered the top 20: the air quality in the country was recognized as good.
Bangladesh, Pakistan and India are the outsiders of the rating.
